This water pump is also available bundled with our upgraded brass thermostat outlet connector kit, part LR049990BFK. The factory thermostat outlet fitting on this pump assembly is plastic, and this kit replaces it with a machined brass barb, a fresh sealing O ring, and a new retainer clip, giving you a stronger, longer lasting connection at that joint while you already have the cooling system open for the pump replacement. Since both repairs sit at the same point in the cooling system, tackling them together saves a second teardown down the road.
