LR138646BR is the Brembo front brake pad kit for the Range Rover L405, the Range Rover Sport L494, the Discovery 5 L462 and the Defender L663. It is the front axle set, covering both front wheels, and it fits vehicles built with the 19 inch front disc and caliper.

Two things decide whether this pad fits your Rover, and neither of them is the model year on the title. The first is the brake package. Land Rover built these platforms with more than one front brake, and this kit is the one for the 19 inch front disc and caliper. If your vehicle left the factory with a larger front brake, this is not the pad for it.

The second is the build break, and it is the one most listings get wrong. On the Range Rover L405 and the Range Rover Sport L494 this pad applies from VIN MA000001 onward. Earlier vehicles on all four platforms take LR110084, and later Discovery 5 and Defender builds move on to other numbers again. So a model year on its own will not tell you, and a VIN will.

Brembo needs little introduction on a brake part. The pads are ECE R90 homologated, which is the European approval standard a replacement friction material has to meet to be sold as equivalent to the original, and it is a real test rather than a marketing line.
